(Sapporo City has been attracting more and more foreign tourists.)
(Many foreign travelers use streetcars, but even Japanese who are not accustomed to riding streetcars usually find it a bit of a hurdle or wonder, “How do I get on a streetcar? I am sure that many Japanese people who are not accustomed to riding streetcars find it a bit of a hurdle to overcome.)
(When I got on the train for the first time in several decades, I was surprised to see about 30 passengers on board, including about 10 foreigners.)
(We have actually encountered situations where foreign travelers have made mistakes, so we will summarize the points that are most likely to be mistaken.)
(Mistaken points of the tram)
(Some stations have different boarding positions for outbound and inbound trains.)
(The direction of travel differs between the outer and inner directions.)
(The photo above shows “Nishisen 11jou Station,” but there are separate boarding gates for the outer and inner lines across the intersection. Please be careful when boarding the train, as there are stations like this.)
(Separate entrance for boarding and alighting)
(Board the tram from the middle exit on the side of the tram and disembark from the forward exit.)
(When I was riding, a foreign traveler was trying to get on in front of me, so please be careful, especially if you are a foreign traveler.)
(How to pay fees)
(You pay the fare when you get off the bus. Please put the cash in the red box.)

(Other things of interest)
(Be aware that cars or obstacles on the road may cause emergency braking → Furthermore, in winter, when the road is narrower, it is common for cars to overhang the tracks and cause emergency braking.)
(You can ride the train while taking your time to see the cityscape. The image above was taken from the driver’s seat when the train stopped at Tanuki koji Station.)
